Starting My MLB Tee Hunt
I decided to track down hot MLB shirt designs after noticing everyone wearing them during my morning subway commute. Grabbed my phone and started scrolling like crazy through different shopping spots online. Man, there were way too many options popping up!
Tried filtering by “trending” first but ended up seeing the same boring Yankees logos everywhere. Got annoyed and switched to sorting by new releases instead. That’s when things got interesting – found these limited edition city skyline designs featuring ballparks. Almost bought one instantly!
The Price Trap Disaster
Started comparing prices for this sweet Chicago Cubs shirt with Wrigley Field art. Saw it for $15 on some random site – total trap! Almost clicked checkout until I remembered last time I got burned this way. Turns out legit retailers were charging $35 minimum. Lesson relearned: cheap means crappy printing that peels off.
- Checked official MLB store: $45
- Sports chain store: $39 with membership
- Department stores: Mostly outdated stock
Fitting Room Experiments
Drove to the mall to actually feel the fabrics. That Nike dri-fit everyone raves about? Super thin material clinging to my belly sweat after wearing for 5 minutes. Hated it. Ended up loving this Champion cotton blend tee – thick enough to hide my dad bod with that perfect oversized look.
Made my poor wife snap photos of me trying sizes from medium to extra large. Medium made me look like stuffed sausage. Extra large was tentsville. Stuck with large – turns out baseball tees always shrink in wash. Who knew?
The Final Winners
After wasting two evenings and $14 in mall parking fees, nailed down three bangers everyone’s chasing:
- Retro script tees: That dripping 90s Marlins logo shirt I found at Marshalls
- Vintage washed cotton: Brewers shirt with intentional fade marks
- Statement graphics: Dodgers tee showing Hollywood sign crushing Giants logo
Ultimately bought that Cubs park shirt full price. Wore it grocery shopping – got three “cool shirt!” comments. This stuff works people! Next mission: finding matching dad caps without looking like walking billboard.
