Okay so yesterday freaked me out real bad. Was scrolling Twitter while eating lunch and BAM – totally saw how this awesome show ends. Just ruined my whole mood. Felt like throwing my sandwich at the wall.
The Dumb Move I Made
See, my dumb butt searched the show name right when I started watching last week. Just wanted to see fan pics. But algorithms? They remember everything. Even after finishing that sandwich, the spoiler kept haunting me all afternoon.
Panic Blocking Everything (Failed)
Tried blocking keywords everywhere before bed:
- Slapped that mute button on Twitter for character names
- Signed up for some Chrome extension claiming to hide spoilers
- Turned off YouTube search history like my life depended on it
Woke up today? Boom. Recommended video on TikTok: “SHOCKING Finale Breakdown”. Like c’mon!
Hail Mary Reddit Idea
Got desperate. Found this Reddit thread buried deep – some nerd saying “watch untouched” stuff. His whole plan?
Become a digital ghost. Sounds weird but hey, tried it step by step:
- Deleted ALL cookies + history from phone AND laptop
- Made a brand new throwaway Google account ONLY for watching stuff
- Opened YouTube & Netflix ONLY in this special Chrome window called “Incognito Mode”
- Refused to touch ANY social apps while using this account
It Actually…Worked?
Tested with this new cooking show. Binged two episodes, then intentionally went on Twitter on my MAIN account. Scrolled for ages. Not a single spoiler popped up – not even hashtags! Felt like magic, seriously. Still using my regular account for cat memes, but anything I watch stays in that untouchable bubble.
Gotta be real though – it’s messy switching accounts constantly. Sometimes tap YouTube and autoplays a workout vid cause it’s on my real account. But for big finale episodes? Totally turning into a digital ghost again.
