Okay, so quick selling cards in MLB The Show for decent stubs is like pulling teeth, right? The in-game way takes forever. Felt like I wasted an afternoon yesterday trying to find fair prices the “official” way, just scrolling menus and waiting. Had to figure out a faster hack.
Started simple. Opened the game, went to my inventory, and picked a random bronze card. Clicked “Sell,” then watched the market screen load… slowly. Saw the “sell now” price was garbage. Tried another card. Then another. Kept doing this. Click, wait, see a bad price, back out, find next card, repeat. Honestly, felt like grinding mud. Got maybe 5 cards checked in ten minutes. Total waste. Got annoyed.
Remembered folks online talk about card values. Went looking. Hopped onto some big MLB The Show fan forums I read sometimes. Started scanning threads and comments about prices. Saw people mentioning “price guides” and stuff made by the community. Dug around specific sections about the marketplace. Found a couple of threads where dudes were sharing their own lists.
Okay, here’s where the lightbulb went off: Instead of messing in-game or scrolling endless forum pages, just use the browser search. Like, directly on those fan sites. Don’t browse. Just search the card name.
So, went back to my console, looked at a card I wanted to quicksell, jotted down its exact name. Then grabbed my laptop, went straight to one of the popular, trusted fan sites (you know the ones), used their search bar at the top, typed in the card name – full name, gotta be exact. Hit enter.
Boom! Loaded the card’s specific page almost instantly. Right there, usually near the top, it listed the current “Quick Sell Value.” Sometimes they called it “QS” or “quicksell price.” Didn’t even need to scroll half the time. Tried it with different cards – silvers, commons, even a low gold. Found the prices super fast, way faster than in-game.
Made a quick list of the cards I was holding onto with rubbish in-game sell now prices:
- Checked a 75 OVR Common RP: QS Value said 25 stubs (yep, same as game trash price).
- Checked an 82 OVR Bronze Position Player: Guide said 100 stubs quicksell value (higher than I thought!).
- Checked a duplicate 79 OVR Common: QS Value clearly 25 stubs.
Took notes directly. Took me maybe 10 minutes to check 20 cards this way, compared to like an hour trying to do it in the game menus. Sold the ones that weren’t duplicates or actually useful. Stacked some quick stubs for basically no effort.
Honestly? Felt dumb I didn’t always do it this way. The in-game market view is useless for quick checks. Search the fan sites directly. Type the card name, see the price, sell it if the number looks right. Saves so much headache. Been doing this every time I need stash space or quick cash now. Works.
