Finally got annoyed enough to experiment. What if I leave those special territories alone at first? Worked outward from my home base capturing everything except the glowing spots. Built up a huge fan army instead of spreading thin. Took like twenty turns but my territory looked like spilled paint everywhere.
Then came the fun part. I sent my mega fan army to attack one shiny hexagon with overwhelming force. The game gave me an optional mission: “Steal 20 fans in 3 turns”. Completed it by snatching fans from neighboring CPU spots. Boom! Hidden reward unlocked – Diamond equipment pack just sitting in my inventory.
The Real Method
Turns out the trick is stacking the deck before touching special spots. Here’s what actually works:
- Ignore all glowing areas completely at first
- Expand everywhere else until your army looks ridiculous
- When you hit a special territory, check for objectives
- Most require stealing fans fast or capturing adjacent spots
- Complete those specific missions within the turn limit
Tried it on another region and sure enough – same pattern. Got me a 90+ player card on the second try by grabbing 5 territories within 2 turns. Whole process cut my grinding time from hours to like 20 minutes per reward.
Moral of the story? Sometimes doing less gets you more. Now I’m swimming in hidden loot while sipping coffee instead of grinding my life away.
