My Journey Getting That Phillies Gear For My Dog
Okay, so my dog Bailey absolutely loves baseball season with me. Every time I have a Phillies game on, he’s right there on the couch, focused on the screen like he understands the plays. Figured it was high time he showed some team pride properly. Started hunting for an Official MLB Phillies Pet Jersey.
Searched online like crazy, typing things like “Phillies gear for dogs” and “official Phillies dog jersey”. Bam! Saw it pop up on a bunch of different pet sites. The official ones always cost a bit more, like around $40-$45 bucks. That made sense, figured it was better quality and actually supports the team. Not gonna lie, I saw way cheaper knock-offs, but Bailey deserves the real deal, plus those looked kinda flimsy.
Saw they came in different materials – some mesh, some jersey knit. Bailey gets warm pretty easily during games (all that barking at the umpires, you know?), so decided the mesh one probably breathes better. Plus, looked closer to what the players wear.
Choosing The Size? Big Headache.
- Grabbed my measuring tape – kinda awkward trying to measure a wiggly dog.
- Checked his chest size right behind his front legs – that’s the main thing they wanted.
- Measured his neck and back length too, just in case.
- Compared my numbers to the size chart shown on the website. Always tricky! Chart said he was on the line between Medium and Large. Played it safe and went with Large. Rather have it a bit big than way too small, squeezing him.

Placing The Order
- Added it to my cart.
- Filled in Bailey’s name for the shipping address. Makes sense.
- Entered my payment info. Standard checkout stuff.
- Totally forgot to check shipping costs first! Added like another $7 or so. Whoops. Sucked it up and clicked “Place Order”. Got the confirmation email immediately.
Then came the waiting. Kinda forgot how long shipping takes for dog clothes! Took about 5 business days to see it arrive. Box was pretty small and light.

Why do I care so much about official dog gear? Simple. Bailey’s more than a pet; he’s part of the family baseball ritual. Giving him cheap stuff feels wrong, like putting a bootleg cap on a diehard fan. Seeing him in that real jersey, same crest as the players? Priceless.
