Okay let’s get my hands dirty today. Wanted to test this whole “Reds Exploit Corner” thing everybody used to whisper about, see if it’s still kicking or if it’s ancient history. Fired up the ol’ PC, opened up that game everyone plays (you know the one!), and loaded a map. Wasn’t gonna sit around guessing.
Setting the Stage
First things first, hopped onto a server known for having kinda loosey-goosey rules. Wanted a real playground, not some super locked-down place where sneezing gets you banned. Grabbed the exact spot people called “The Corner” – tucked away behind some red shipping containers on the usual suspect map. Positioned my character just right, squeezed into the angle like folks described back in the day. Felt cramped as hell.
Testing the Waters
Took a deep breath. The classic trick involved staring dead ahead at that specific red corner, wiggling the mouse in a weird pattern while doing something funky like reloading or jumping. Sounds ridiculous, right? Felt even dumber doing it. Jammed my face into the corner pixels, mashed my jump key like a maniac, and spammed reload like my life depended on it. Nothin’. Just looked like an idiot having a seizure against a wall.
Okay, maybe I messed up the timing. Tried again. Same frantic dance. Jump. Reload. Wiggle. Face in corner. Still felt like an absolute fool. Character bounced around uselessly against the red metal. Screen didn’t glitch, didn’t suddenly see through stuff. Just… red pixels up close.
Digging Deeper
Switched tactics. Maybe it needed the old weapon exploit combo? Remembered folks talking about swapping guns super fast while doing the corner dance. Dropped my primary, pulled out the pistol, then swapped back, all while still smushing my face into that red wall. Finger gymnastics level: expert. Still… zilch. The game acted completely normal. Finished reloading the rifle, smooth as butter. No clipping, no weird vision, nada. Just the quiet hum of the map.
Heard a teammate running nearby. “Yo! Anybody ever get that red corner thing to work?” Got radio silence back. Maybe they were busy. Maybe they thought I was crazy.
The Verdict
Spent a solid 20 minutes being a complete weirdo against that corner. Tried:
- Every stupid button mash combo I could think of
- Different stances (crouch, stand, prone – looked even dumber prone)
- Slightly different angles in the corner
- All of it together until my fingers hurt
Total result? My character had a bad case of the wall wiggles and I felt like a moron. Game didn’t flinch. Felt rock solid. That memory trick? Could’ve sworn it worked years back… maybe?
Honestly? Turns out busted. Doesn’t seem to do a damn thing anymore. At least not on the servers I tried. Waste of my damn time. Good riddance! Why even bother writing this? Because I wasted my time, maybe it saves yours. Go shoot some bad guys instead of hugging walls.
