Even casual stuff, like the old fight songs or why the cherry blossoms thing stuck… seemed like scattered bits nobody had pulled together simply.
Got frustrated myself one night scrolling through forums. Thought, “Wouldn’t it be nice if there was just… one page? A cheat sheet?” Didn’t exist. Not for casual fans wanting the gist.
Digging In Was Messy
Sitting at the kitchen table, surrounded by chaos:

Wrote it like I was talking to a buddy at the bar. No fancy words. Got tripped up trying to explain the different owners. Said “screw it” and just listed ’em quick with a dumb nickname I made up for each.
Why “Informal” is Key
Let me be real: This ain’t some historian’s wet dream. I definitely messed up some dates the first pass. Probably left out big things others care about. Got halfway through and realized I mixed up two pitchers from the ’90s. But it wasn’t for perfection.
